Old Saybrook Fire Co. Hosts Annual Firefighters' Competition


The daylong event is free and open to the public. Some event categories are color guard, water drafting, add-a-hose-length, and an obstacle course. Several Junior Firefighter events will also be held.

We offer grandstand seating, but those attending are welcome to bring their own seating. In addition, there will be food and beverages available along with children's games, activities and souvenir T-shirts of the event.

Clark Memorial Field is located at 210 Elm St. in Old Saybrook, diagonally across from Pasta Vita on Elm Street.

The OLFD placed third in the Color Guard event, second on the suppression Course, second in the running hose, and first in the drafting.  The team also received the Spirit and Sportsmanship Award.
